After completing this course, students will be able to:
•Describe the differences between Office 365, Microsoft 365 and Azure services
•Recognize features and licenses assigned to Users
•Find key settings within Outlook Web Access
•Find key settings within OneDrive for Business
•Find the admin portals to administer the components of Microsoft’s Cloud Solutions
•Describe the different components of Microsoft’s Cloud, e.g. Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Yammer
•How to work with Intune
•Awareness of Security and Compliance features within Microsoft 365
Candidates who attend this course are Service Desk Engineers who want to know the differences between Microsoft’s Cloud Solutions. These professionals should have at least three years of experience working in their respective fields—ideally in the areas of system administration, network administration, and messaging.
Module 1 – We are using Office 365 and not Microsoft Azure
Module 2 – Assigning functionalities and licenses to Users
Module 3 – Configuring and Managing Outlook Web Access
Module 4 – Configuring and Managing OneDrive for Business
Module 5 – How to use Office with OneDrive for Business
Module 6 – Common components like Exchange, SharePoint, Teams & Yammer
Module 7 – How to use Intune
Module 8 – Security and Compliance
Module 9 – How to get help
Before attending this course, students must have:
•A minimum of two years of experience administering the Windows Server operating system, including Windows Server 2012 or newer.
•A minimum of one year of experience working with Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS).
•A minimum of one year of experience working with name resolution, including Domain Name System (DNS).
•Experience working with certificates, including public key infrastructure (PKI) certificates.
•Experience working with Windows PowerShell.
Experience working with Microsoft Exchange Server 2013 or newer, Microsoft Lync Server 2013 or Skype for Business Server 2015, and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2013 or newer is beneficial but not required.
